Join us for our second Privacy After Hours networking event of the new financial year with a short panel discussion on GDPR two months in, focussing on insights from the coal face on the impact of GDPR in practice.
Jacqui Peace, Air NZ’s Chief Privacy Officer, will lead the panel discussion with Vodafone’s Privacy and Data Governance Officer Bec Holdsworth and Air NZ’s Senior Privacy Officer Tony Collins. Panelist details are below.
Jacqui Peace: Jacqui leads the global privacy function for Air NZ. Before this, Jacqui advised on privacy and data protection matters and implemented global privacy programmes for over ten years. Previous roles have included Head of Information Governance, GE Capital (covering the EMEA region) and independent privacy advisor for BP Ltd and Standard Chartered Bank, all based in London. When she returned to New Zealand in 2014 she provided independent consulting services covering biometric and immigration related privacy matters and conducted high risk privacy impact assessments for government agencies. Jacqui is also Board Director and Secretary for iappANZ and has been a global member of IAPP since 2010.
Bec Holdsworth: Bec’s career to date spans a number of industries (aviation, hospitality, telecommunications) and a range of disciplines (operations, planning, general management and HR). Bec has a wide range of personal and professional interests including being the Chair of the Asylum Seekers Support Trust, a charitable organisation which offers shelter, food and social services to asylum seekers and refugees. In relation to privacy, Bec is very focused on delivering a scalable, pragmatic privacy programme at Vodafone – one which allows all stakeholders the opportunity to build customer trust and achieve compliance without complaining! Bec is also the current convenor of the Auckland Privacy Officers Round Table.
Tony Collins: Tony is a privacy professional with experience in the public and private sectors identifying and managing privacy risks. As Air NZ’s Senior Privacy Officer, Tony is responsible for the day to day management of Air NZ’s privacy compliance. Before joining Air NZ, Tony was an investigator with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner, then Privacy Officer for Sovereign Insurance. Tony has an LLB from AUT and BSc/BCom from the University of Auckland.
